Program Educational Objectives

The overall goal of the civil engineering undergraduate program is to promote intellectual development of those interested in the civil engineering profession, and to produce graduates who possess the knowledge, tools and traits necessary for a successful career, and for assuming a leadership role in the civil engineering profession. The CE Department program educational objectives are to produce graduates who:

(1) Obtain professional position and practice civil engineering or pursue graduate studies

(2) Be involved in continuing education and professional development activities (society memberships, conferences, workshops, training, certifications)

(3) Obtain PE licensure or other professional certification
