About Consumer Confidence Reports
The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is a regulation, passed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments, that requires all community water systems (CWS) to provide their customers with an annual water quality report.
With the CCR, communities obviously benefit by acquiring a better understanding of their water suppliers and the processes involved, which allows them an opportunity to make an informed decision regarding their use of drinking water.
The CCR also provides suppliers with an opportunity to explain how the community's drinking water supplies are protected and build on their relationship with the customer.
For more information on the CCR, you may contact a member of TCEQ’s Drinking Water Quality Team at (512) 239-4691 for further assistance.
