The Center for Nursing Continuing Education at The University of Texas at Arlington is dedicated to meeting the varied continuing education needs of registered nurses in all levels and areas of nursing practice. The mission of the Center is to provide continuing nursing education to enhance nursing practice and health care. The Center develops and co-sponsors many activities with various organizations at the local, state, and national level. The coordination team has more than 45 years of combined event development and management experience. This provides the ability to produce quality educational activities that meet the needs of the nursing community. A Message from the Dean
The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing’s Center for Continuing Nursing Education provides ongoing education to enhance nursing practice and health care. We strive to be a regional as well as national center for the advancement of professional continuing nursing education and to meet the diverse needs of nurses in most every clinical specialty and all levels of functional roles.
Many of our programs are co-provided with local, state and national organizations. The Center can provide complete conference service and assist with program development. We value these partnerships which strengthen our offerings and programs.

Approved Provider Status
The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing’s Center for Continuing Nursing Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The activities meet Type I criteria for mandatory continuing education requirements toward re-licensure as established by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
Tax Deduction
A tax deduction for registration fees, travel, meals, and lodging may be permitted as educational expense if undertaken to maintain and improve professional skills. Please check with your financial planner, accountant or tax professional for specifics regarding allowable deductions.
