Postdoctoral position available in Dr. Johnson-Winters laboratory
Congratulations to Dr. Kayunta Johnson-Winters for winning National Science Foundation’s Research Initiation Grant for Broadening Participation in Biochemistry/Chemistry program. Dr. Johnson-Winters will study an essential enzyme found in Mycobacteria tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis.Faculty profile
Congratulations to Professor Purnendu Dasgupta for winning the $1.2 million grant from NASA to create a new system for testing the chemical composition of extraterrestrial soil.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is pleased to welcome assistant professor Junha Jeon as a new faculty member this Fall. Dr. Jeon’s laboratory at UT Arlington will focus on developing innovative and efficient synthetic methodology and their functional applications.Faculty profile
Congratulations to Dr. E. Thomas Strom for being honored at the May 12, 2011 DFW ACS Meeting held at UTA. Dr. Strom is the Editor of "The Southwest Retort," a chemistry news letter for the DFW Metroplex and nearby states!
Congratulations to Professor Purnendu (Sandy) Dasgupta for winning the 2012 Dal Nogare Award. This is given in recognition of Sandy’s contributions to the theory and applications of chromatographic science!
Congratulations to Professor Sandy Dasgupta for winning the 2011 American Chemical Society (ACS) Award in Chromatography. This is a very prestigious, national award given by the ACS in recognition of the outstanding contributions to chromatography!
We are pleased to welcome Professor Rasika Dias as the new Chairman of the Chemistry and Biochemistry department at the UT Arlington. He will take over the new responsibility beginning September 01, 2010.
