Mass and Volume Measurement
This video provides an adequate run through of Lab 501. It starts by introducing the objective of this lab, lab equipment necessary for the lab, and the definitions of accuracy and precision. The presentation of this video was not creative or original. The lab procedure was read word for word from the lab manual. Too many standard lab procedures such as weighing and washing the equipment were explained which resulted in the video being too long and very boring. This video did not provide any helpful tips to increase the precision or accuracy of your results or any additional information to what you have already read in the lab notebook. 2 stars: This video does not add to what you have already read in the pre-lab to lab 501 but simply repeats what has already been stated in the lab notebook. It does not provide any additional tips or advice to yield accurate or precise results. This video is not very helpful if you have already read the lab manual. -S.
