As part of the 2014-2015 CMAS Speaker Series, the Center for Mexican American Studies is hosting a public lecture by Dr. Arturo Arias from the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Texas, Austin. Dr. Arias’s lecture is title “Central American-Americans in the Second Decade of the Twenty-First Century.” Please join us for the lecture and reception to follow!

About the Speaker

Dr. Arias is the Tomas Rivera Regents Professor in Latin American Literature at UT Austin and a nationally recognized novelist and literary critic. He is a well-known expert on Central American literature with special emphasis on indigenous literatures and post-colonial studies.
