The College of Education has been preparing educators and serving local schools since 1963. It was first established within the College of Liberal Arts as the “Teacher Education Section” of the Department of Psychology.

The College of Education offers students of all backgrounds the opportunity to obtain their academic goals, whether they lie in teaching, research, or elsewhere. Graduates leave our program with the skills and knowledge they need to make real breakthroughs in their efforts to improve education and quality of life worldwide.
We currently offer undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and certifications through our two academic units: the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
