Creating an Endowment through the Legacy of Education
Historic Endowment to support K-16 Mind, Brain Education
An endowment is a permanent investment in the future of the College of Education and a legacy to the investor. Endowment gifts can be made in honor or memory of a loved one, and may be given in many forms such as cash, stock, life insurance, or real estate. In any case, the gift will remain invested and only the interest income from the gift will be used for the purpose designated by the donor. To ensure growth and stability, a portion of the earnings from a scholarship endowment is distributed to award an annual scholarship, while the remainder is added back to the principal.
The minimum required to establish an endowment is $10,000. Pledges may be accepted to fund endowments with at least 20% of the total being received before the endowment is accepted. If you are interested in learning more about establishing an endowment through the Legacy of Education scholarship program please contact the College of Education at 817-272-7451.
