Imagine being a part of something at The University of Texas at Arlington that has the potential to change the face of education as we know it—with implications for systemic change in the future. A new direction to provide a scientific explanation to questions like:
• How do children learn and at what level of cognition?
•
At what cognitive levels are we teaching?
•
What levels of cognition are required for the careers of the future – careers
that do not yet exist?
•
How do we teach children so that they will succeed in an ever-changing environment?
•
How do we impact the average teacher and thus significantly change the norm?
Parents and students are looking for a richer, deeper learning experience. UT Arlington’s College of Education is embarking on a journey to find the solution – an opportunity to look beyond standards and accountability and connect the education system to levels of cognition through Mind, Brain Education.
A leader in K-16 Education and recognized as one of the most innovative colleges of education, UT Arlington is poised to be a force in Mind, Brain Education, which complements and is an integral part of its previous work in collaboration and K-16 partnerships.
Mind, Brain Education–coupled with K-16 partnerships–provides the avenue for cross-cultural collaboration to link scientific data and pedagogy to find out what works and why.
