Curriculum and Instruction undergraduate courses are designed to prepare students to become effective classroom teachers. On-campus coursework provides them with research-based methods for providing instruction, assessing student progress, managing classroom routines, and all other responsibilities associated with classroom teaching. Extensive field experiences place students in partner school classrooms with opportunities to apply on-campus learning to the realities of teaching, under the supervision of cooperating teachers and University faculty. Secondary math and science teacher preparation is provided through The University of Texas at Arlington’s UTeach Program.
