* Obtaining a full time teaching position at the level and in the content area in which the student is pursuing certification will fulfill the Practicum Residency requirement.  In all cases, students must register for ECED 5315 (1 semester for student teaching; 2 semesters for probationary certificate students)

 

 

New students must meet with the Program Director (faculty mentor) upon admission and prior to registration in order to develop their degree plan and course sequence. A copy of the degree plan must be filed with the Graduate Staff Advisor.

 


Important Facts

Students enrolled in the Teacher Certification Program as Certification Only Students must file a Change of Program request with the Graduate School PRIOR to enrolling in their fourth certification course if they wish to pursue a Master of Education in Teaching (M.Ed.T.) degree or some courses my not be counted towards the Master's.
