  • ECED  5320    Early Education: Instructional Strategies II
  • ECED  5321    Language and Literacy Development: The Early Years
  • BEEP   5321    ESL Methods for Young Learners
  • LIST    5350    Literacy Assessment
  • ECED* 5315    Practicum Residency (Last Course)

* Obtaining a full time teaching position at the level and in the content area in which the student is pursuing certification will fulfill the Practicum Residency requirement.  In all cases, students must register for ECED 5315 (1 semester for student teaching; 2 semesters for probationary certificate students)

 

 

New students must meet with the Program Director (faculty mentor) upon admission and prior to registration in order to develop their degree plan and course sequence.

 


Important Facts

 

Students enrolled in the Teacher Certification Program as Certification Only Students can use 18 semester credit hours from the certification work towards a Master of Education in Teaching (M.Ed.T.)
Degree.  You must file a Change of Program request with the Graduate School if you wish to make the change from Certification Only to M.Ed.T
