IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING CONTENT
Frequently, students are required by the
content area advisor to take additional courses related to their
content, at the undergraduate level. This practice is common to
ensure student success on the content area TExES exam.
IF the content advisor recommends more
than 12 hours (4 classes) be taken to fulfill the content requirement, students
must enroll as a degreed undergraduate and address the content
requirement before enrolling in or taking certification courses in the
College of Education.
We want students to be
successful on all exams required by the State. Please meet with a
content advisor,
and bring your
content declaration
with you, immediately, to ensure a smooth transition to teacher
certification.
For those seeking EC-4 certification, students do not need to meet with a content advisor prior to admission. Students must, however, meet with the program director during their first semester of enrollment. |
