I'm Admitted! Now what?

      Congratulations and Welcome to UTA!

Once the College of Education (COED) receives formal notification of your acceptance from the Graduate School your COED staff advisor will send you a welcome email. The email will have specific instructions on how to sign up for the mandatory orientation session and it may address issues specific to the program for which you have been accepted. Please check the email address that was provided on your application as this is the only one we will have at this time and it is where your welcome email will be sent. If you do not hear from an advisor within 10-14 business days you may want to call the advising office at 817.272.2956.

The orientations for new graduate students are designed to familiarize you with important policies and practices you need to be aware of as you pursue your graduate education. We generally schedule 3 sessions from which to choose. The first session is  approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the beginning of classes and the final session is scheduled 7-10 days prior to the first day of class.

You will need to download and print out the Orientation Packet for your program and bring it with you to orientation. Several of the documents will be collected during orientation and they will be used to clear you so you can register for your classes. If the documents are not turned in we will be unable to clear you and it will delay your registration for classes.
