Practice Test Information for

GRADUATE INITIAL CERTIFICATION CANDIDATES

(Secondary and All Level Art only)

Register online for the practice test and review session at http://www.uta.edu/coed/texes/practice_sched.php. There is a $10 fee to take each practice test.

 

SPRING 2009 GRADUATE PRACTICUM CANDIDATE

SAVE THE DATE

·         Orientation for EDUC 5315 is mandatory for secondary and all level graduate practicum candidates on Thursday, December 11, 2008.

·         Incoming graduate practicum candidates are required to register for and take the content practice test, if available, for their content area (see chart below) BEFORE Thursday, December 11. The only administration of the practice test prior to Thursday, December 11 will be Thursday, August 21, 2008, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Students who test on Thursday, August 21 must also review on the same day.

·         Incoming EDUC 5315/Practicum candidates who are seeking certification in a content area that does not have a practice test will be required to submit a study assignment in lieu of the practice test. (Email hadaway@uta.edu for the assignment.) That assignment is due no later than Wednesday, December 10, 5:00 pm. (This does not apply to students seeking certification in Music and Physical Education.)

·         Incoming EDUC 5315/Practicum candidates are required to register for and  take the Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) practice test on Thursday, December 11.

·         To move forward to EDUC 5315/Practicum, you must have taken both the content and the PPR practice tests.  Again, the only administration of the content practice test during Fall 2008 semester will be Thursday, August 21, 2008, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.

·         All students who test on December 11 must review on the same day. Failure to review the practice test cancels the practice test

·         Reading Specialist, ESL, and MRT candidates should register for and take the practice test in their last semester of coursework for the designated certificate.

·         Register online for the practice test and review session at http://www.uta.edu/coed/texes/practice_sched.php. There is a $10 fee to take each practice test. 

 

·         Summer 2008 Reading Specialist, ESL, and MRT candidates who are in their last semester of coursework must register for and take the practice test on Thursday, August 21, 2008.

·         All students who test on August 21 must review on the same day. Failure to review the practice test cancels the practice test

 

·         Fall 2008 Reading Specialist, ESL, and MRT candidates who are in their last semester of coursework must register for and take the practice test on Thursday, December 11, 2008.
