The UTA Library presents Peggy Semingson discussing "Approaches to Personalizing Online Learning" as part of the Focus on Faculty series, which highlights the research of UTA faculty members.
Drawing on robust theoretical frameworks that inform effective practice in online learning such as the Community of Inquiry Model and ideas about adult mentoring, this talk presents research findings related to several approaches to personalizing online learning. Results from a qualitative study about individualized digital mentoring of graduate students through synchronous webconferencing will be shared. Additionally, Dr. Semingson’s research that uses multimodal approaches such as professor-designed videos, webinars, and micropodcasts will be explored.
The presentation will be followed by a reception hosted by The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
