UTA’s online master’s program in curriculum and instruction ranked No. 1 by online publication

Friday, December 15, 2017

The College of Education’s online master’s program in curriculum and instruction has been ranked No. 1 in the nation by College Choice, an independent online publication that provides rankings, reviews and resources to assist students in choosing a college. The selection can be found on the publication’s list of the nation’s top 35 programs.

Dr. Teresa Doughty, Dean of the College of Education at The University of Texas at Arlington, says the outstanding faculty in the College put a great deal of time and energy into developing challenging coursework that is immediately applicable to the real educational environments in which students will find themselves upon graduation. She says this results in outstanding teachers who bring a positive influence in schools in the DFW area, around the state and nationally as well.

“We are delighted that our programs continue to be recognized as best in the country,” Dr. Doughty said. “Our faculty are nationally recognized scholars in curriculum and instruction and include those who are also members of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers, are Texas Regents award recipients and have been recognized in their professional organizations.”
