The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Endorsement for the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science is currently one of only 17 programs in the nation and the only University Connection Endorsed Curriculum Program in the state of Texas.
Additionally, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accreditation of the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) is currently one of only four athletic training education programs in the state of Texas.
In 2003 students earning a B.S. in Exercise Science had a 100% pass rate on the ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor Examination.
