Spring 2009 Clearance

You may request Spring 2009 clearance by submitting an online Clearance Request Form. Please read the definitions in the box below so
you are familiar with important clearance and registration terms, then follow the appropriate link to access the Clearance Request Form:

                                               I am an EC-4 or Mid-Level student                I am a Secondary or All-Level student

NOTE: Students are required to come in for advising at least every other semester. If you have not met with an advisor in 2008, you may
not use the Clearance Request Form. You must schedule an advising appointment to have your academic standing and progress assessed.

To schedule an appointment, please call the advising office at 817-272-2956.

Definitions:

General Clearance: Your major advisor removes your advising hold, called a 'service indicator,' to allow you to register. With general clearance, you may register for any required core and basic courses which do not require special permission.

Permission: Some courses require special permission and will be designated as 'department consent required' in the class schedule. Even if you have already had your advising hold removed, you will need to contact the appropriate department to be allowed to register for a special permission course.

Education Course Clearance: An advisor places you on the permission lists for the College of Education courses you request so that you may register for them.

Registration Date: The date you can register. Registration for Spring 2009 begins October 27. However, your actual registration date will depend on the number of credit hours you have accumulated. Your registration date is posted in your Student Center in MyMav.
