Bowling for Education

Kappa Delta Pi’s 2008 Bowling for Education tournament has come and gone, and we would like to thank everyone who donated
their time and money to the event. We are so grateful for the hard work and enthusiasm of all the bowling teams and the Kappa
Delta Pi members who participated. The tournament was a great success and we had a wonderful turnout.

This tournament was the second of what we hope will continue to be an annual event benefiting Cook Children’s. Cook Children’s
provides children the opportunity to continue their education and keep up with classmates while they are hospitalized. The
hospital’s classes offer an environment where children can interact with others and develop and maintain skills to help them
transition from the hospital back to the school.

The purpose of Kappa Delta Pi’s annual Bowling for Education tournament is to provide Cook Children’s with supplies and
equipment they desperately need. This year our goal was to provide the hospital with new educational software and help fund a
Summer Enrichment program. Our campaign raised $3,600 towards this goal. This surpasses last year's donation, and we are
extremely grateful for your support and the generous donations provided by Perry Aslyn Photography, Rick O'Sheas Pub and
friends of Kappa Delta Pi.

Below are pictures from the tournament and check presentation at Cook Children's. Thank you to all who participated, and check
back again next year for information on Bowling for Education 2009!
