Dr. Vistasp M. Karbhari, President, UT Arlington

Karbhari

Dr. Vistasp Karbhari became president of The University of Texas at Arlington in June 2013, and in that short time, he has hit the ground running with a focused commitment to the success of UT Arlington students and the advancement of our institution to new levels of excellence. Prior to coming to UT Arlington, Dr. Karbhari was provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and served as a professor at the University of California, San Diego. A prolific researcher and author, President Karbhari earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in structures, both from the University of Poona in India, and earned his Ph.D. in composite materials from the University of Delaware.
