President James D. Spaniolo,
University of Texas at Arlington
James D. Spaniolo has served as president of The
University of Texas at Arlington since February 2004. Under his leadership, UT
Arlington has focused on a strategic mission of becoming a national research
university—tripling research expenditures, achieving unprecedented levels of
philanthropic support, and enhancing the University’s academic profile.
Enrollment has soared, and UT Arlington has expanded campus infrastructure to
create a thriving College Town environment that connects the University to
downtown Arlington and beyond.
