M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Options

All Master programs are composed of a K-16 core set of courses and a set of specialized courses in each emphasis area. Contact the program advisers for more questions about coursework.

M.Ed. with Principal Certificate

This is for students who wish to work in administration in a K-12 environment. Students who do not already hold a master’s degree must pursue the M.Ed. as opposed to the certification-only program.

M.Ed. with Principal Certificate, Dual-Language Emphasis

This is a specialized Principal Certificate program. As many schools transition to Spanish immersion and dual-language programs, the need for administrators knowledgeable about the special needs of these programs increases. Ability to speak Spanish not required.

M.Ed. with Higher Education Emphasis

This degree option is designed for individuals who work in higher education and wish to enhance their administrative skills and abilities at the college and university level. It does not carry any certification for primary and secondary educational settings.
