Imagine being a part of something at The University of Texas at Arlington that has the potential to change the face of education as we know it—with implications for systemic change in the future. A new direction to provide a scientific explanation to questions like:

• How do children learn and at what level of cognition?
• At what cognitive levels are we teaching?
• What levels of cognition are required for the careers of the future – careers that do not yet exist?
• How do we teach children so that they will succeed in an ever-changing environment?
• How do we impact the average teacher and thus significantly change the norm?

UT Arlington’s College of Education and Health Professions is embarking on a journey to define new educational solutions influenced by the cognitive and neurosciences, and in turn explore how its tools can address the issues educational systems face today.

Mind, Brain Education–coupled with K-16 partnerships–provides the avenue for cross-cultural collaboration to link scientific data and pedagogy to find out what works and why.
