Over 400 Education and Health Professions Students Graduate

More than 400 College of Education and Health Professions students crossed the stage at the College Park Center on May 11 to receive their diplomas in the spring 2013 Commencement ceremony.
Dean Jeanne M. Gerlach congratulated the graduates on their academic accomplishments. In her remarks, she also acknowledged faculty and guests, whose support played an important role in the student’s achievements.
In his commencement address, Dr. Kenneth R. Craycraft, executive vice president for Academic Partnerships, encouraged graduates to embrace change and lifelong learning. He recommended that graduates have impeccable character and strive to make a difference in life.
James D. Spaniolo participated in his last College of Education and Health Professions commencement ceremony as president by calling the ceremony to order and conferring the degrees. In his final remarks, President Spaniolo told graduates that one of the tremendous joys he has experienced as president has been the immense pride and satisfaction in seeing students graduate from UT Arlington.
The University of Texas at Arlington conferred more than 4,500 degrees this spring, making it the largest class in UT Arlington history.
