Eligibility Requirements: |
The Abilene Retired Teachers Association will award two $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded to college junior or senior students who are pursuing a degree in education, with the intent of entering the teaching profession. Applicants must have completed at least 60 hours of college credit; be currently enrolled in a minimum of 9 hours of junior or senior college level courses; have a grade point average of 2.5 or above; be a citizen of the United States; be a graduate of Abilene, Baird, Clyde, Cross Plains, Eula, Jim Ned, Merkel, Trent or Wylie High Schools. These scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, gender or marital status. Financial need will be considered. |
