The UTA Department of Communication’s High School Communication & Media Summer Camp is set for July 23-27, 2018.

Careers in communication and media are growing in popularity and rank as a top degree in today's changing world. At our Communication & Media Camp, high school students will get hands-on experience, explore the latest technology and create community-based projects about real community issues.

The camp will feature engaging, interactive sessions from top faculty at UT Arlington in various areas of communication and media including

  • Journalism and Broadcast: writing, editing & video
  • Advertising & Public Relations: research and creativity for campaigns
  • Communication Technology: web design
  • Communication Studies: professional communication & teambuilding

You’ll tell stories using Twitter & Facebook and create real news broadcasts on UTA Radio & UTA News.

Registration Opens February 15th, 2018

The week-long day camp is for grades 9-12, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Camp tuition is $299 – early bird special for $250 – and includes parking and lunch for all five days.

As space is limited, early registration is recommended!

Our “Early Bird Special” registration deadline is April 15. The final registration deadline is June 15, 2018.

In Need of a Scholarship?

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. For more information on our scholarship application process, check back on February 1. Scholarships will be considered on a rolling basis, however, priority will be given to those who submit materials by April 15, 2018. Recipients will be informed by May 15, 2018.
