Dr. Karishma Chatterjee teaches interpersonal communication, group communication, persuasion, communication theory, and history of communication.

Research

Dr. Karishma Chatterjee's research interests include communication in relationships, face and identity management in social interactions, and how the media construct social identities and discourses. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods in her research, including content analysis, rhetorical and discourse analysis, interviewing, and multivariate statistics. She has presented her research to the International Communication Association, the National Communication Association, and the International Association for Relationship Research. Her recent publications are in Family Relations and Journal of Health Communication.
