UTA Radio garners award

UTA Radio News won first place for Best Newscast in the South Central Broadcasting Society’s regional conference Sept. 27.

The newscast from April 2014 featured Tracie Hill, Spring 2014 BCMN grad. The SCBS includes schools from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Nebraska.

UTA Radio.com wins Mercury Award

UTA Radio.com won a Radio Mercury Award this week in New York City. The winning spot, "Get Tested," was produced by Jillian Dennis and Trey Caron, two students from Broadcast Lecturer Lance Liguez's Summer II Radio Production class. The award honors the best in radio creative, and comes with $2,500 prize.
