The windows at the library and University Hall may be rattling a bit when UTA Radio launches its annual Rocktober concert series on Tuesday, Oct 2.
This is third year for the event, but only the second year the event carries the Rocktober name.
“It’s a chance for our students to not only organize a weekly, mini-concert,” says Faculty Advisor Lance Liguez. “It’s also a chance to showcase, in a live setting, some of the local indie rock bands we feature on the air.”
Tuesday’s kick-off concert will feature Sammie Zonana, recently voted UTA's Most Talented Maverick 2012.
The concert is also being held in conjunction with College Radio Day, a national effort to draw attention to college radio stations and the impact they have on and off campus.
Bands confirmed to playin October include Svenny Baby and the Lost Immigrants.
