Students seeking donations

Posted 11-11-2011 by Barrie Hill

Students in COMS 2304 Group Communication class are working with the non-profit organization, A Wish for Wings, as part of a service learning project this semester.

"To promote awareness of this organization, the COMS 2304 students will be giving away hot chocolate and seeking monetary donations," explained speech communication instructor April Blount.

Proceeds collected will benefit the organization's upcoming event, "Breakfast with Santa," a holiday party for children with life-threatening conditions.

"These students are looking for our help. If you have any hot chocolate mix, stir sticks, or cups you are willing to donate, we can sure use them," Ms. Blount said.

Drop off donations in the Department of Communication Office, Room 118 in the Fine Arts Building, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Place donations in the box labeled A Wish for Wings.
