Sports Medicine Lecture Series
Each year, the MSAT program invites speakers from a variety of athletic training, sports, and medical backgrounds to present as part of our Sports Medicine Lecture Series. Through these speakers and their presentations, our program is able to:
- Provide further insight into the prevention, assessment, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of injuries that occur to physically active individuals
- Allow students the opportunity to learn more about potential work settings for certified Athletic Trainers
- Promote interprofessional education among healthcare providers
Over the history of the lecture series, a variety of speakers have presented at the workshop including Athletic Trainers working at the high school, college, professional, and clinical/corporate settings. In addition, our lecture series has had a multitude of related healthcare providers speak such as orthopedic surgeons, osteopathic physicians, physical therapists, and paramedics.
