Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Are you a NICU nurse who is considering becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner? Take advantage of this excellent NNP program, taught by nationally recognized faculty in a technologically rich environment.

Post-graduate certificate degree plans are individually created based on a gap analysis of the applicant's MSN transcript and experience. If you have questions about a post-master's certificate program and what your specific degree program might look like, you will need to apply for admission to the university, including the submission of your transcripts and curriculum vitae for review.

Please read this important information about our program before applying.

  • Out-of-state students are subject to their state's eligibility rules. If you are not a Texas resident, please contact us so that we can determine if your state board is one which will allow you to study out of state.
  • The coursework for this program is delivered and is to be completed online.
  • This program requires two simulation experiences which must be attended in person on campus at UT Arlington.
  • It is the student's responsibility to identify board certified NNPs and/or neonatologists in their community to serve as preceptors for the 600 hours of clinical in a Level III or IV NICU. We will work with you to secure an affiliation agreement.

Students who complete our program are prepared to be recognized as advanced practice nurses by the Board of Nursing and to take the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner National Certification Exam through the National Certification Corporation.

NNP Director: Judy LeFlore, PhD, RN, NNP-BC, PNP-AC & PC ANEF
