**ATTENTION: College of Science May Graduates:**

CHANGE in TICKET DISTRIBUTION DATES

Due to a delay in the printing, tickets for the May 12th ceremony will not be available until Monday, April 21st. The NEW ticket distribution dates are Monday, April 21st - Friday, May 9th, 8:00 am 5:00 pm in 206 Life Science Each graduate is allowed eight tickets.

If any extra tickets are available, they will be at Texas Hall one hour before the ceremony.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from the UT Arlington College of Science. Our spring commencement ceremony is scheduled for Monday, May 12th at 3:00 p.m. in Texas Hall on the UT Arlington campus. Graduates should arrive at the west doors of Texas Hall for check-in no later than 2:15 p.m. We anticipate that the ceremony will last approximately 1-½ hours.

TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL GUESTS ATTENDING THE CEREMONY, including children. Each graduate will be provided up to (8) eight guest tickets. Tickets will be available for pickup in the Dean of Science Office, Life Sciences Building Room 206 between April 21st* and May 9th between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Any unclaimed tickets will be available at the Texas Hall box office at 2:00 p.m. on May 12th on a “first come, first served” basis.

NO PERSONAL ITEMS MAY BE BROUGHT BACKSTAGE (purses, keys, cameras, sunglasses, etc.) THIS INCLUDES CELL PHONES! Please leave all personal items locked in your car or with your guests. There is no secure area backstage during the ceremony and you may not be returning to the same seat after crossing the stage.

Many of you or your guests may be attending a university commencement for the first time. Please be aware that unlike the boisterous atmosphere of today’s high school graduations, a university commencement is a solemn ceremony that recognizes the significant accomplishments of our graduates. Please remind your guests to be respectful of all our graduates and invited speakers, and to limit their participation or demonstrations to applause. NOISEMAKERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN TEXAS HALL AND WILL BE CONFISCATED DURING THE CEREMONY.

The procedure for the graduation ceremony is very simple, but it is important that you arrive no later than 2:15 p.m. so that you can receive all the necessary instructions. Enclosed is additional important information on the ceremony and the process for ordering regalia through the UTA Bookstore. Invitations can be ordered online at www.jostens.com. You can also access commencement information online at http://www.uta.edu/cos/newsupdate/grad. Be sure to pick up your tickets by May 9th.
