Donor Profile CHARLES K. BAKER, Ph.D., was still in graduate school when he met Mr. Keith Crandell, the donor of this scholarship. At that time, Mr. Crandell was studying for his master’s degree and received encouragement over several years from Dr. Baker. Dr. Baker increased Mr. Crandell's insights into the foundation of Chemistry far beyond the scope of the assigned curriculum. The education Mr. Crandell received at UT Arlington helped him go on to a successful career in venture capital. Through this scholarship, Mr. Crandell salutes Dr. Baker, who, despite his own demanding workload, used his talents to help students succeed.
