|Welcome to the home page for the 2014 AT&T Pathways Summer STEM Camp at The University of Texas at Arlington. The camp is a one-week residential experience for one hundred twenty 9th grade (2014-2015 school year) students from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
A mandatory orientation session will be held for all campers and parents/guardians from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The camper and at least one parent or guardian must attend this session.
July 20 to 25 - Session 1
Camper drop-off and the opening ceremony will occur on Sunday, July 20. Student pick-up and the closing ceremony will occur on Friday, July 25
July 27 to August 1 - Session 2
Camper drop-off and the opening ceremony will occur on Sunday, July 27. Student pick-up and the closing ceremony will occur on Friday, August 1
There is no tuition for this summer camp, and 60 campers will be selected for each session. To be eligible for this free camp, students must:
- Be entering 9th grade in the fall of 2014
- Write a 250 word (max) essay
- Be recommended by their current math and science teachers
- Preference will be given to students from middle schools or junior high schools that feed into the following high schools where UTA GO Centers are located:
Arlington ISD: Arlington, Lamar, Venture, Seguin
Fort Worth ISD: Arlington Heights, Dunbar, Eastern Hills, Southwest, Western Hills
Mansfield ISD: Legacy, Frontier, Lake Ridge, Summit, Timberview, Alternative Education Center
Grand Prairie ISD: Crosswinds, Dubiski, S. Grand Prairie, LBJ
Everman ISD: Everman
The Student Application form, records and recommendations must be turned in to the UT Arlington Pathways Program, by May 23 for priority consideration. If there are still spots available, applications will be accepted until May 30.
