Dr. Butler is a visiting assistant professor with the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He received his Ph.D. in History from Brigham Young University in 1980. Dr. Butler received his MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from UTA in 2002. His research interests include Native American Policing, Native American Juvenile Justice, Peacemaking/Restorative Justice, Policing History, and Police Training.
