Sara Jane Phillips is a visiting assistant professor with the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She received her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas and is an active member of the Texas State Bar. She is a former Staff Attorney advising the Dallas County Criminal District Court Judges in all matters related to their judicial position, as well as a Dallas County Criminal Assistant District Attorney. Ms. Phillips received her M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from UTA in 2007. Her research interests include jury selection, crime legislation relating to wrongful conviction and organized crime, juvenile justice reform, and judicial systems.
