J. R. Price, M.A.

Lecturer, Undergraduate Advisor, and Internship Coordinator

J. R. Price is the undergraduate advisor and Internship Practicum coordinator, as well as a lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Mr. Price was a United States Postal Inspector in the St. Louis, Kansas City, and Fort Worth Divisions for over 31 years, and was a supervisory team leader for over 18 years. He was selected to serve on the Federal Security Task Force at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT as an assistant team leader, and has been an assessor for the Inspection Service since 1984, helping to select new postal inspector candidates. Mr. Price earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1970 and a MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from UTA in 2004. During his law enforcement career, he was a guest lecturer at over 20 universities and police academies, and previously was an adjunct instructor at Tarrant County College and Texas Christian University.
