Professor Segal completed her undergraduate work at Hunter College in New York where she received a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology. She has also received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Interdisciplinary Studies-Legal System. She has taught at the University of Texas at Arlington since 1989, working in both the Political Science Department and the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department.
