The DFW SBLO Council is made up of representatives from companies

located in the DFW area which have established

formal Small Business/Subset federal subcontracting programs. 


The DFW SBLO Council was established to:

  • Improve communications between the Small Business Administration, Office of Minority Business Enterprise, various Federal agencies and commissions, and Congress and members of industry on matters related to Small, Small Disadvantaged, Woman-Owned, HUBZone, Veteran and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Alaskan Native Corporations or Indian Tribes, and HBCU/MI subcontracting opportunities, 
  • Support educational functions such as seminars, meetings, industry fairs, conferences, clinics, exhibitions and similar events sponsored to assist qualified Small Business/Subsets to gain a larger share of business resulting from federal subcontracting programs,
  • Provide guidance, information, and feedback to Government agencies (SBA, DCMA et al) on matters pertaining to these federal subcontracting programs,
  • Consider and take action on any other matters that the Council considers appropriate and which are closely related to any Small Business/Subset federal subcontracting, and
  • Maintain internal communications within the Council and interface with other government and industry representatives for synergy and collaboration.
