Tuition Exemption
For Students with Visual and Hearing Impairments |
General Information:
Exempt from the payment of all tuition, fees, and charges for courses
student is enrolled in except those for lodging, board, or clothing.
Required certification must be presented to Bursar Services. If
a parking decal is needed, the certification must also be presented
to the UT Arlington Parking Office.

Allan Saxe Scholarship |
| Each fall and spring semester, The Office for
Students with Disabilities offers the Allan Saxe Disabled Student
Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship is awarded each fall and
spring semester to a student with a disability who excels academically
at UT Arlington as well as in community activities
Minimum qualifications are as follows:
- All applicants must be a first-time undergraduate student at
UT Arlington.
- All applicants must have completed at least 12 hours at UT Arlington
to be eligible for this scholarship.
- All applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA for a minimum of
12 hours completed at UT Arlington.
- All applicants must be enrolled in a full load of classes (full
time status is defined as at least 12 hours or more) and must maintain
full-time status for the duration of the scholarship period.
- All applicants must be in good standing with UT Arlington (e.g.
not on probationary status).
- Your application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation
from UT Arlington faculty and/or staff (see recommendation requirements
form).
- For disability verification purposes, all applicants must be
registered in The Office or Students with Disabilities.
Applications are available in the Office for Students with Disabilities
(OSD) in room 102 of University Hall or can be located on this website
for your convenience (Note: please do not email your application).
If you experience difficulty, give us a call at 817-272-3364 and
we will mail one to you. OSD will secure your transcript once we
have reviewed your application. Deadlines vary each fall and spring
semester. All applications and letters of recommendation must be
in our office by the deadline date. Only complete applications will
be considered. Please contact The Office for Students with Disabilities
for specific deadlines.

Ethal Louise Armstrong(ELA)
Foundation Scholarship for Female Graduate Students |
| Who is eligible?
- A female with a disability.
- Currently enrolled or actively applying to a graduate program
in an accredited college or university in the United States.
- Be willing to partner with the ELA Foundation within your chosen
field of study to "Change the Face of Disability on the Planet."
- Be willing to send the foundation an annual letter apprising
us of your progress and accomplishments made within the disability
community after receiving the scholarship.
- Be willing to network with the ELA Board of Directors, as well
as current and alumni scholarship recipients who could become
your support base in the future both in the professional and political
arena.

Fort Worth
Mayor's Committee On Persons With Disabilities Scholarship |
The Fort Worth Mayor's Committee on Persons with
Disabilities will be awarding scholarships ranging from $250 up
to $1,000 to students wishing to attend a school of higher education.
