These policies and procedures are for all students who are registered with the Office for Students with Disabilities and receive the accommodation of taking exams in the Adaptive Resource Center.
POLICIES
- Exams must be scheduled in the Adaptive Resource Center at least 5 days prior to the test date. (Any exam not scheduled in advance may result in the need to reschedule with your instructor.) Note: Final exams should be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.
- Exams should be scheduled at the same time the class is scheduled to take the exam. Any variation in time will require professor's approval.
- If the student fails to give the instructor a copy of the "Testing Request Form", the instructor is not required to deliver the exam to the ARC.
- The student should explain the procedures to the professor and inform the professor that they can e-mail, fax, or bring the exam with the "Testing Request Form" with any special instructions to the ARC prior to the time the student is scheduled to take the exam.
- It is the student's responsibility to remind the instructor that he or she is taking the exam in the ARC and that the instructor needs to bring the exam to the Adaptive Resource Center in University Hall, room 101.
- On the day of your exam the student should come to the ARC prepared and ready to begin the exam at the scheduled time. Note: If you show up late, your time will not be adjusted.
- If the student does not show for the exam then the exam will be returned to the instructor the following day.
- It is the student's responsibility to provide a scantron or bluebook when necessary.
- The student may not adjust the time or date of the exam without prior approval from the instructor. The instructor must give either verbal or written confirmation of a change in date or time to an ARC staff member.
- If a student misses two scheduled testing reservations without notifying the ARC, he or she must meet with the Adaptive Resource Center Coordinator before they will be allowed to schedule any further exams.
PROCEDURES
- Come to the Adaptive Resource Center five days prior to scheduled date of your exam and complete a "Testing Request Form".
- Take the completed "Testing Request Form" to your Professor before the date of your exam and have them return it with the exam to the Adaptive Resource Center.
- Have your professor complete the bottom portion of the "Testing Request Form" and the professor should return the form with the exam to the ARC.
- Come to the ARC at the scheduled date and time prepared to take your exam.
