Nonlinear control, systems theory, and signal processing.

Background

After receiving his Dr.-Ing at Karlsruhe, W. Germany in 1977, Dr. Yeung returned to the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he served as a Lecturer in Electronics until the Fall of 1983. During 1982, he conducted teaching and research as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics at Drexel University. In 1983, he joined the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he currently is a Professor. Dr. Yeung has done design work on a 33/11 kV substation and a 132 kV switching station. He also has done hardware design of pulse-frequency modulated control systems. He has been involved in the beam transfer control design between the LEB and MEB at the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory.
