Background

Dr. Peter Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1991 from The University of Texas at Arlington. His is a Senior Research Scientist at Nokia Siemens Networks. His work covers telecommunication physical layer, channel modeling, and wireless system level simulation and analysis. He found the principle of Guided-Mode Resonance filter concept. He is an expertise in the field of diffractive optics.

He has twenty US/International patent applications and published more than sixty conference/journal papers. He served as the board director of CIE telecom group from 2001 to 2004. He was the IEEE COMSOC program Chair of Fort Worth Chapter from 1999 to 2001 and is still participating in the IEEE Executive Committee of the same Chapter.
