Honors and Awards:

• NSF Award to present at the "2nd International Conference on Bioengineering and Nanotechnology" in Santa Barbara, California in September 2006. The award covered travel and registration for selected abstracts.
• NSF Fellowship for "NSF Summer Institute on Nano Mechanics & Materials" at Northwestern University in Aug 2006. Contestants included professors, post-docs and graduate students from USA and around the world. An essay and research proposal was the criteria.
• 2003-2004 Magoon Award for excellence in teaching. Award carried cash, certificate and a citation. Awardees were chosen amongst the teaching assistants from 13 engineering schools, based on superior teaching capabilities.
