Undergraduate Advising

General academic advising for new and transfer students (excluding transfer course evaluation) is done during the scheduled orientation period just prior to registration (the dates will be listed in the appropriate schedule of classes). Academic advising for continuing students will be done during each semester prior to registration (the dates will be listed in the appropriate schedule of classes). Personal academic advising will also be done in the office of the Undergraduate Advisor during the semester by appointment only. In order to graduate, the student must have an approved degree plan on file in the Registrar's Office records.

Undergraduate Advisors

Advising Times: Monday-Wednesday: 1:30PM - 4:00PM
                         Tuesday - Thursday: 9:00AM - 11:00AM

The Advising Office is located at Room 501 Nedderman Hall; the undergraduate Advisors are Dr. Vasant K. Prabhu, and Dr. Rasool Kenarangui. Prior to registering for classes, all Pre-EE majors must be advised. Students who have been accepted into the Professional program and received a Degree Plan are usually exempt from Advising. (Check SAM for advising status each semester.) More information about advising days and hours can be obtained from the Advising Office at 817-272-2671.

Once the Advising Form is obtained and the time to register is determined, a non-conflicting class schedule can be created. The necessary information is contained in the schedule of classes, which is available at Davis Hall and on-line at http://www.uta.edu/. Registration and schedule adjustment is accomplished online or via the SAM system. Check the Schedule of Classes for days and times of availability.
