Franklin L. Quilumba (S'10) received the Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Polytechnic School (Escuela Polit├ęcnica Nacional EPN), Quito-Ecuador, in 2008. He held a teaching position at the EPN from 2008 to 2009. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree in the area of steady-state and dynamic analysis of power systems at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He is a member of the research group at the Energy Systems Research Center at UTA. His areas of interest are power systems analysis, operation, stability and control; power plants; computer simulation of electric power systems; and power load modeling.
