Meng-Fu Kao received his BSEE and MSEE degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 1991 and 1997, respectively. Currently, he is a Senior Power Resource Engineer of the Department of System Operations of Taiwan Power Company, with responsibilities for the short term (between one month and two years) dispatch operations plans of the Taiwan Power System, include load forecasting, the fuel (coal, oil, LNG) estimate, power production simulation. From Dec 5, 2011 to June 1, 2012, Mr. Kao is a visiting scholar of the research group at the Energy Systems Research Center of UTA, for studying the Renewable Energy topics.
