Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Certification in Geographic Information Systems is designed for those in all majors who want to become proficient in spatial data analysis, which is used in business, liberal arts, engineering and architecture disciplines.

This is a certification program and does not lead to a bachelor’s degree. However, students can use these courses as a minor in a bachelor’s degree program or as part of the B.A. in Geology degree program.

The certification appears on the UTA transcript and is awarded when the flowing courses are completed with a B (3.0) average or better.
