Wasiu and Abolfazl at the ACS-IDSS

Wasiu Adedapo Lawal, an Earth and Environmental Sciences Ph.D. student and Civil Engineering Master's student Abolfazl Zakersalehi both under the guidance of Civil Engineering professor Dr. Hyeok Choi have been selected to attend the American Chemical Society International-Domestic Student Summit (ACS-IDSS) 2012 in Raleigh NC November 11-17.

Mattioli takes on leadership role in national consortium

UTA Scientist Dr. Glen Mattioli has agreed to accept the post of Program Director, Geodetic Infrastructure at UNAVCO. He brings many assets to UNAVCO, including a long history of contributions to geodesy across the Americas, strong professional relationships with UNAVCO's core sponsors including service as a program officer at NSF, broad perspective developed through his faculty appointments at University of Puerto Rico, University of Arkansas, and University of Texas, Arlington.

EES Department Receives $4.4 Million Grant

EES Department receives 3 year, $4.4 million grant from IHS and SMT. IHS Inc. recently acquired Seismic Micro Technology Inc. (SMT), known for Kingdom, their seismic interpretation software that is widely used in the petroleum industry.
